I have used this product with both of my breastfed babies. I know it seems like a high price for a small tube, but it will last a long time. This soothes sore nipples. I highly recommend it.

I was given samples of Lansinoh in the hospital and really did not find it helpful because it was so hard, and hurt way too much when putting it on. I didn’t think I was going to be able to continue to breastfeed because of the pain, but within a day of using the Medela lanolin after each feeding, the pain became very mild and completely tolerable! The Medela lanolin is much softer, smoother, and easier to put on. I felt like I was torturing myself when spreading on the Lansinoh lanolin and expected the same from Medela, but I was desperate so I gave it a try…what a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended!!!

i used the lansinoh lanolin for the first few months of breastfeeding and it worked fine. the only thing i wasn’t crazy about was that the cream comes out really thick and you have to mush it around with your fingers for a few seconds before applying to your breasts. the medela cream comes out really smooth from the get go and you don’t need to heat it with your fingers before applying. it’s a small thing and i guess it’s just a personal preference but i like the medela better than the lansinoh.
nursing cream is an absolute necessity when you’re pumping. it really helps to smear some medela cream on before pumping. i tried pumping without first putting cream on and it was really painful.
